>  Hotels   >  Quaint and Fresh: Well Hotel, Bangkok

Make no mistake, this hotel is straight out of the Pinterest interiors section. It gave me the warm fuzzies as soon as I stepped into my room, with the tiny teddy sitting on my bed next to two adorable cushion labelled Sleep Well. They didn’t intend for it to be just another hotel that makes you feel like you’re on a business trip. It’s the best place to travel and stay with your family or friends, one that encourages you to be around beautiful things that make you feel a whole lot more comfortable. True to it’s name, this is a hotel that gives out positive energy to paint a picture of wellness and health, with the books stocked around the reception area, cute interiors and the collection of paintings neatly hung in each room.

The hotel is located at Sukhumvit Soi 20, walking distance from the main road. It’s a 10 minute and 60 Baht cab ride away from the best nightlife in Bangkok at Sukhumvit Soi 11. Cabs are easy to find and the hotel staff is happy to help with one. The BTS station is a little far, but a cheap cab ride away should solve that problem.

Customer Service:

I was traveling solo in a city that you wouldn’t call the safest, but I was at ease within moments of walking through the doors of Well Hotel.

It’s a hotel that touches the heart. They are so enthusiastic about welcoming their guests to the hotel, making you feel like you’re family as soon as you step in to the reception. They will offer to help you find a local cab (instead of offering you the hotel cab at exorbitant prices), take the time to give you recommendations, hand you a map and mark the places you should visit and how you should get there. Everyone here has a smile on their face, happy to provide the information you need as promptly as possible. They don’t look like they were dragged out of bed in the morning for a job that pays the rent. They look like they’re happy to be there, which makes all the difference.

I haven’t felt so welcome and well taken care of at any other hotel before. The warmth of the staff at Well Hotel just shines right through.

Food is available round the clock, and the dishes I ordered to my room in the middle of the night were just as fresh as one would expect during the day. The breakfast could have been better, even with a massive selection of dishes to pick from, as it didn’t seem too fresh. They serve continental at breakfast, served in a restaurant and bar so beautiful, one would think it was a library-themed cafe.

Spa, Pool and Fitness Center:

A rooftop gym overlooking the pool, with the spa a quick walk away, Well Hotel’s welcome wing has a floor dedicated to these facilities. Though the spa is relatively smaller and fuss-free, I tried the traditional Thai massage and it was so relaxing I almost fell asleep through it. I had walked in tired and ready to hit the bed, only to walk out feeling much lighter and ready to take on Bangkok’s famous nightlife!

Given a chance, I would stay at Well Hotel each time I visit Bangkok, for their hospitality and the warmth they extend to their guests.

(Thank you to Well Hotel for hosting my stay, and to their entire team that made my stay so wonderful that I was sad to leave by the end of it. My opinion, as always, remains my own and are in no way altered or influenced by anyone.)
